Lumberton

trip. The Lumber River State Park, situated on more
than 7,800 acres, boasts 115 miles of natural and
scenic waters, 81 miles of which are designated as
national wild and scenic waters by the National Park
Service. Also conveniently located is Britt Park,
which offers shaded picnic areas, walking, jogging,
biking trails, lake swimming, fishing and boating.

features an indoor Olympic size pool, indoor

For those with little
ones and curious minds, Lumberton offers the
Exploration Station Children’s Hands-on Learning
Center. This attraction features interactive
exhibits for children, which introduce them to the
work-a-day world with special participatory
displays. Learning experiences are also offered for
the older crowd at the
North Carolina Indian
Cultural Center the Southeastern North Carolina
Agricultural Center and the Robeson County Museum.
